Ingredients

  • 2 c flour
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/4 c butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 c fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 c butter, softened

Instructions

Combine, flour, sugar, milk butter, egg, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Beat on low speed for 1-2 minutes.

Stir in berries by hand. Spread batter into a greased and floured 8-inch pan.

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over batter in pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Crab Dip

Ingredients

  • 11 ounces cream cheese; softened
  • 1 small onion; finely chopped
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 can (6 oz) crabmeat; drained and flaked
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 loaf (1 lb) round crusty italian bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish.

Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. While the dip is baking, cut a circle in the top of the bread, and scoop out the inside to create a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.

Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Place bread bowl and chunks of bread on a medium baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 T vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c bananas; mashed

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Mix all ingredients and beat for 30 seconds. Pour into pan and bake for one hour and 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 c flour
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 3/4 c hot water
  • 1 T yeast
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 c shortening
  • 1/4 c butter softened or melted
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1/2 c cream
  • 1 c brown sugar

Instructions

Scald milk. Melt shortening. Combine sugar and salt in a bowl. Pour milk over, and then add water. Mix about 3 cups flour in, along with the yeast. Add shortening and eggs. Mix in just enough additional flour so the dough can be kneaded - it should still be sticky. Let rise for an hour.

Roll out dough, about 1/2 inch thick. Spread on about 1/4 c softened butter, and then cover with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and seal edges. Cut into 12 pieces with dental floss.

Cover the bottom of a 9x13 pan with cream and brown sugar. Warm over burner or in oven until the sugar melts. Arrange the rolls in the pan and allow them to rise for 30 minutes.

Bake at 375 degrees for 27 minutes.

Remove from pan immediately by inverting onto a cooling rack.

Notes

Double the dough recipe and use the rest to make buns.

  • 1 c pumpkin

  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 c powdered sugar

Instructions

Combine sugar, shortening, pumpkin, and egg. Then add flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.

For frosting, combine butter, milk, and brown sugar and bring to a boil. Add powdered sugar.

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 6 cups corn flakes

Instructions

Bring sugar and corn syrup to a rolling boil.

Remove from heat and add peanut butter, vanilla, and butter. Stir in corn flakes. Drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper and allow to harden.
